Three new lettings in Wellgate Shopping Centre, Ossett

The Wellgate Shopping Centre in Ossett has seen significant movement with the letting of 3 shops bringing the precinct to full capacity.
This popular shopping centre is home to many prominent occupiers including Wakefield Hospice as well as boutique, local traders including cafes, tattoo parlours, hairdressers and beauty salons who have become well-established within Wellgate centre for several years.

One of the new lettings include ‘Dan Pearce Sells Homes’. A formidable residential estate agent who are rapidly growing throughout West Yorkshire. The estate agents now occupy one of the most visible trading positions within the Wellgate Shopping Centre fronting onto Market Place.

‘On arrival to Ossett Town Centre we were taking a look at possible availability on a shop space for our 4th office. We called in to 3 shops at the time to speak about Ossett and to find out any information about what the vacant space was left by TUI.
After returning to our head office, we called Isobel at Vickers Carnley and arranged a viewing of what is now our latest high street premises.
We would like to thank Isobel, the business owners and staff of service providers we have managed to meet, and also the people of Ossett for welcoming us so warmly.

Occupying the adjacent property fronting onto Market Place is the new interiors and home furnishings shop ‘Moody Moose’. Ellie Megson, founder and director of Moody Moose opened the shop in September 2021 and it seems the shop has had a positive response from local shoppers.

And finally, the latest addition to the Wellgate Shopping Centre is ‘Our Explorers’ located within the heart of the precinct. ‘Our Explorers’ is a messy play class for children aged 6 months to 4 years old.

‘Our Explorers’ is the creation of Tara Emmerson who is currently in the process of renovating her new venue, 3 Wellgate ready for its first classes in the coming weeks ‘Our Explorers provides a variety of fun, stimulating and welcoming classes for children aged 6 months to 4 years. At the moment, we have Bottomless Baby Brunch and messy play classes. There will also be workshops and parties coming to the new venue. I am incredibly excited about having my own premises in Ossett and I look forward to getting to know everyone.’
